Whether through online LPN nursing classes or on-campus programs, LPN classes prepare students for the field of nursing, including basic bedside care, giving injections, dressing wounds, collecting samples, and monitoring patients. After online LPN nursing classes, LPN candidates should be prepared to pass the state administered nursing examination, NCLEX-PN. A passing score on the NCLEX-PN is necessary to become to become a LPN.
Nurses already who are already licensed practical nurses can enroll in online nursing classes to transition from an LPN to a BSN, a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. Moving forward with a higher degree can increase salary and enable nurses to earn promotions.
