“You can do almost anything with a public history degree,” claimed Bill Harbour, the chairman of the history department for Longwood College in Farmville, Virginia in an interview with CNNMoney’s Shelly K. Swartz. From working as a tour guide to becoming a political lobbyist, Harbour touts the freedom of liberal arts history degree. The CNNMoney article cited history graduates working for consulting firms such as Booz-Allen, & Hamilton, as well as for well-known companies such as Budweiser where, surprisingly, a history degree is seen as a plus.
Now, a history degree can be earned using the convenience of modern technology. An online history degree can be earned at all of the major online colleges. In addition, some traditional colleges offer online branches of their history degree programs.
