DeVry University

DeVry University, one of the most well-known online colleges in the nation, distinguishes itself with small, hands on classes that allow for individual attention. Also, DeVry advertises accelerated programs that allow students to earn four-year degrees in only three years. Impressively, DeVry reports as of June 27 9% of its graduates in the active job market found a job in their field within six months of graduating. 

DeVry University was established in 1931 with the goal of instructing students in technical work with electronics, motion pictures, and radio. Now celebrating it 75th anniversary, DeVry has evolved into a career-oriented institution of higher education. With online classes in addition to classes offered at more than 8 locations across the nation, the number of students achieving associate degrees, bachelor degrees, or master degrees from DeVry is increasing each year. An online library, a virtual library, and student support services such as academic advising and financial aid provide DeVry students with the support needed to succeed in one of the many degree programs provided online and on campus. Also, DeVry University strives to offer quality programs and has achieved regional accreditation in Utah. DeVry has received some form of accreditation in 23 other states as well. 

In order to be accepted into DeVry, students must be 17 or older, must interview with a DeVry admissions advisor, and must have a General Education Development certificate, a high school diploma, or a post secondary degree. Also, all students will be tested to ensure they are a capable of successfully handling college level material. Once accepted students are able to participate in any of the various programs under the guidance of their advisor.

Though DeVry does not yet offer any doctoral programs, both bachelor level and master level courses are available for students wishing to pursue degrees in fields from Biomedical Engineering to Educational Technology.
